Collaborating with East China Normal University, the Wellesley College Chinese Department offers intermediate Chinese language students the opportunity to study abroad in China. Chinese 303 is one-credit four-week Intensive Conversational Chinese Program. The pilot program was held in the summer of 2000 in Beijing, and the following summer 2001 was also held in Beijing. After 2001 the program moved to Shanghai's East China Normal University. Wellesley students study, explore, and live in China's most cosmopolitan city.
