Faculty & Staff

Faculty in the Education Department have taught or had experience working with students at different levels, from preschool to high school, and worked in different roles in many types of programs, both public and private.  We have taught kindergarten, fourth grade, middle school social studies, high school math and science, been a private school director, a residential counselor, an academic advisor, and directed a child care training program.  We do research on many different topics, including the history of kindergartens and preschools, teacher education, educational psychology, and educational standards and reform.  We study education policies related to school tracking, immigrants and education, and parent and community involvement in schools, and programs to promote social and emotional learning.
