Incoming Students |
Incoming Students Welcome to Wellesley College! As an entering first-year student, you may have questions about academics, living on campus, making friends, getting involved, and finding important resources. The Office of the First-Year Dean helps new students create connections on campus that will support them during the first year, and continuing throughout their college careers. Students entering Wellesley for the first time have access to our web portal for entering students, MyWellesley. MyWellesley is a source of essential information for incoming Wellesley students prior to their arrival. For access to MyWellesley, incoming students are assigned a password and email address during the summer months. All incoming students are matched in small groups with an upperclass student who serves as their First-Year Mentor for the first semester. The FYM groups meet daily during Orientation week, and regularly throughout the fall, as a source of friendship, guidance and support. In addition, FYM groups frequently attend campus events together, explore the town of Wellesley and the city of Boston, or engage in social activities that build camaraderie and trust. The First-Year Mentor program is coordinated by Paula Queenan, who also serves the community as a Resident Director in Pomeroy Hall. We look forward to meeting you in the Fall! |
