Termination Process:

When an employee notifies her/his manager that she/he is terminating employment at Wellesley College, the manager should ask for notification in writing. The manager should forward the written notification to Human Resources to become part of the personnel file.

Human Resources will contact the employee to set up an exit interview. During the interview, the Human Resource Representative will review the employee's benefits and vacation time, as well as discuss their experience working at Wellesley.

Human Resources will submit payroll information regarding the termination to the Payroll Office.

The manager is responsible for collecting the employee one card and keys to the office. The one card should be returned to Human Resources and the keys should be maintained in the department.
