Wellesley College recognizes the value of employee contribution to its goals and mission. It is a great opportunity to recognize their loyal and dedicated service. Each year in the spring, the College honors those employees celebrating significant milestones in their service to the College. These employees are recognized by senior staff, their supervisors and peers.
Service award recipients receive a gift for their dedication and loyalty to the College. Awards are given for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years and beyond in five year increments.
Those employees celebrating 25 years of service are especially honored by becoming a member of the President’s Club. The membership entitles the employee to a waiver of fees for you and your spouse to the Sports Center and Nehoiden Golf Club as well as the President’s Club member’s discount at the Wellesley College Club. (Free memberships are also available for eligible dependent children up to age 23, living at home.)
The list of eligible employees for the anniversary reception includes: all of those who are half-time or more benefits eligible, excluding those, for example, who are casual wage, voucher, etc., who are less than half-time and not regularly budgeted or necessarily continuous positions. The dates used to determine the year of service begins on September 1st and concludes on August 31st of each year.
