Work Life Programs
Wellesley College believes in supporting a healthy community by providing and promoting health and well-being programs to our employees.
Employee Assistance Programs
The College provides an employee assistance program to help faculty and staff with the stresses of life and work--including personal and family issues, drug or alcohol problems, job-related tensions, financial and legal consultation, budget and debt counseling, new parent transition and more. It offers assistance to reduce these stresses and to improve coping skills.
The College's employee assistance program provides counseling, consultation, and education to staff and faculty. The College has contracted with The Wellness Corporation to provide these services. Contact 800.828.6025.
Back up Childcare and Eldercare
The College provides a back up childcare and eldercare service to its employees. Backup care reduces stress and gives employees peace of mind. With one phone call, you have access to a pool of in-home caregivers who will come to your home or the elder's home on short notice. In-home child care and elder care are available on weekdays, evenings and weekends; the benefit covers sick children and recuperating elders, and has no set hours or geographic boundaries.
The College has contracted with Parents in a Pinch to provide these services. Contact 617.244.KIDS.

Keohane Sports Center
The Nannerl O. Keohane Sports Center, named after Wellesley's former president, makes it possible for the entire college community to engage in physical activity year round. In addition, the PERA department provides physical education classes and many hours of recreation time for Wellesley students and employees. The Sports Center is the focal point for activity and wellness for the college community. Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare provides a Fitness Reimbursement Program for those employees enrolled in the College's health insurance.
Wellesley Community Children's Center
The Wellesley Community Children's Center was founded in 1971 by a small group of Wellesley residents who wanted to provide quality childcare for families working or living in Wellesley and the surrounding communities. The center has grown dramatically as it continues to respond to changing needs for childcare. WCCC serves families with children from the age of 3 months through 8th grade. |
