find out you need braces or eyeglasses?   Do you have dependent care expenses?

Why pay full price?  With payroll deductions, you can save up to 1/3 of the cost when you take advantage of the pre-tax Medical or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account.

Steps you need to take:

·         Plan ahead!

·         Contact Human Resources to obtain an application and learn more about the benefit and the cycle for establishing these accounts.

·         Complete the application with the total annual amount you wish to have deducted on a pre-tax basis within the maximum limit.

·         Retain your receipts and original bills for services.

·         Submit a claim for reimbursement.  The money will be withdrawn from your account and the money will be sent directly to you.

·         Detailed information, including enrollment forms and claim forms, are available in the Benefits Office or through Crosby Benefit Systems

Employees working at least 17 ˝ hours per week, 9 months per year or more may enroll in a redirection agreement which provides a Federal, State and FICA tax shelter for funds used for eligible dependent care expenses or health related expenses that are not covered by health or dental insurance.
