Greetings Ethos Alumnae,

It's time to reconnect with old friends, network with new friends, and get back to beautiful Wellesley. We invite you to participate in the upcoming Ethos 40th Year Anniversary Celebration: "Honoring Our Esteemed Legacy, Building Our Brighter Future," hosted by Ethos, the women's organization for students of African descent in conjunction with the Wellesley College Alumnae Association. The 40th Anniversary Celebration will be a two-day event from April 4-5, 2008, at Wellesley College. The event will feature keynote addresses by Ethos alumnae, the Wellesley College President, present students, and faculty members. Please click here to view the program.

Our sincere hope is that this weekend will promote fruitful dialogue prompting alumnae and members of our community to sustain and enhance their involvement in the Black community at and beyond Wellesley College. In the spirit of the weekend's theme, "Honoring Our Esteemed Legacy, Building Our Brighter Future" we aspire, to first examine the issues of historical relevance to members of our Black community, such as: the status of the Africana Studies Department, Black alumnae involvement in the College; and discuss pertinent issues relative to Ethos' development and the Black experience at Wellesley today. A second objective is to leverage the intellect and capabilities of attendees toward a course of action for staying connected and committed to not only giving back to the College, but also giving back to Ethos. Please join us for a weekend reunion, celebrating the rich history of 40 years past and building the slate for 40 years from now!
