Harambee House’s primary mission is to serve students of African descent; priority is first given to the Director of Harambee House and student organizations whose primary purpose is to serve students of African descent. The next priority goes to individual students, faculty, and staff of African descent. After these priorities are attended to, anyone at the college can reserve and make use of Harambee House.
All reservations are processed by Harambee House Staff. Please do not email or call the staff directly to make a reservation. In order to remain true to Harambee House’s mission there are two ways in which to reserve Harambee House:
- If you or your organization’s primary purpose is to serve students
of African descent, you should fill out the reservation
form online or a paper copy on the main desk when you first enter Harambee House. Please print out and turn in the form. Do Not Email this form. If you would like your event to appear
in the Wellesley College Calendar, you should also complete the R25 email form
which should be emailed to Student Activities. If your event does
not
need
to go on the Wellesley calendar, only complete the white form.
- All other individuals or organizations should contact Student Activities
at x2672 directly
using the R25 email form.
A minimum of two weeks notice is required for a reservation.
When reserving the House always remember to review the Harambee
House Rules.
