The most important things to me, as the International Student Advisor, are to be available to talk confidentially with international students about any difficulties they may be encountering, and to be able to help make their experience in America as useful and enjoyable as possible. I may be able to suggest approaches and resources available that can help students find solutions to problems, and increase the benefit they derive from their time at Wellesley and in this country.
I came to the United States as a "foreign student", and have had the pleasure of working with international students for several years. If you need someone to talk with about a problem, please come by and see me. My offices are in the Slater International Center , and at the International Study Office in Green Hall; I am always glad to talk to you without an appointment. In addition, the staff of the Slater International Center works with other departments to familiarize international and multicultural students with the variety of student services offered by the College; services such as personal and academic advising, health services, personal counseling services, financial aid, student aid, and career and internship opportunities.
