The interactive and multimedia educational dvd "Società Famiglia Cinema (Society Family Cinema) is an original and valuable instrument for the teaching and learning of Italian society, family and cinema produced in the form of a DVD. This digital learning tool is 1hr and 15m. long and addresses issues pertaining to the sociological and anthropological changes of the Italian family over the past thirty years. Such themes are illustrated with a variety of text types: interviews with sociologists Anna Laura Zanatta, and Paola Ronfani, excerpts of interviews with two contemporary , world renowned Italian directors Francesca Archibugi and Cristina Comencini, and clips from their films which provide vivid representations of current sociological changes in Italy.

This digital program is multidisciplinary in content (sociology, demography, anthropology, history, politics, law, and cinema) and navigable in its multilayered structure. It is pedagogically innovative, academically sound, and has a remarkable impact on the quality of the teaching of relevant aspects of Italian culture. Such program will foster Italian students' self-access and self-paced autonomous learning. Most importantly, it is a new composite and complete digital package, rich of up-dated and documented materials that meets the educational needs of professors teaching courses in Italian Studies, Cinema and Comparative Sociology or Anthropology. Texts are entirely in Italian.

  Immigrant women from North, East, Central Africa, and South America living and working in Italy address issues of cultural integration and national identity.

  Women from different generations and professions debate on the evolution of the Italian feminist movement and discuss the legislation on Affirmative Action, 1991 and Sexual Violence, 1996.

  (Living Languages: Italian Dialects)
  Examples of dialects from ten regions in Italy are spoken in interviews with people of different ages and socio-cultural strata proving that dialects are widely used throughout the country.
