Pamela Birrell, Ph.D.is a Senior Instructor and Head Advisor in the Psychology Department at the University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon. She teaches the following courses: Psychology of Trauma, Psychology of Gender, Culture and Mental Health, Psychopathology, as well as various graduate seminars in

Description of Project:

I am writing a paper on relational ethics entitled, "The Ethics of Possibility: Relationship, Risk, and Presence," which critiques mainstream approaches to ethics in the field of psychotherapy from the viewpoint of the relationship, caring, and the face-to-face encounter.
