Description of Project:

My project was designed to reduce violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered students at a Bureau of Indian Affairs dorm high school in New Mexico. The project was based on the Relational Practice Group Model (RPG). The RPG design is based on the Relational-Cultural Model of human development.

The groups in this project explored the dynamics and development of growth-fostering relationships, which enhance creativity, clarity, relational awareness, a sense of vitality and relational intelligence. The model supports the growth of relationships and community.

The project was successful in reducing violence toward our LGBT students.
