The JBMTI Research Network is sponsoring its annual Research Forum beginning with a lunch on Friday, June 20, 2008, 12:00 PM, followed by presentations from 1:30 - 5:00 PM.

This year the JBMTI Research Network will hold its Forum during the JBMTI Summer Advanced Training Institute. The Forum features selected qualitative and quantitative study findings presented as paper and poster presentations. Following a keynote presentation, there will be a poster session and a concluding panel composed of senior researchers and clinicians to address the importance of RCT clinical/research collaboration. 

The JBMTI Research Forum will be highlighting studies that expand understanding of how RCT research contributes to clinical practice. Abstracts containing preliminary findings or summaries of completed studies will be given the highest priority.

If you are interested in submitting a poster/discussion proposal for review, please send a 500-word abstract via email to Linda Hartling at lhartling@wellesley.edu by Friday, March 30, 2008. You will be notified of the status of your review no later than May 15, 2008.

During the Forum lunch, the JBMTI Research Network will be announcing the recipient of the Irene Stiver Dissertation Publication Award. This award includes a $250 check and a certificate of achievement.

Registration Information and Membership

Forum attendance requires pre-registration. All presenters must also pre-register. Pre-registration deadline is June 1, 2008. As a benefit of JBMTI Research Network membership, all current members may attend the forum at no charge, as long as their network membership dues have been paid for 2008-2009.

Non-members have the option of paying the $60.00 registration fee ($75.00 after June 1, 2008) registration fee or they may join the Network and attend at no charge. The network membership dues is $60.00 for June 1, 2008- May 30, 2009 ($75.00 after June 1, 2008)

If you are a current student, the registration fee is $30.00 for registrations postmarked by June 1, 2008, or $45.00 for those postmarked after June 1, 2008.

Housing will also be available for the pre-institute through the Wellesley College dormitories at $80 per night ($90 after June 1). If you plan to attend this year's forum, please complete the following information and send to:lhartling@wellesley.edu
