Title:
Work Inhibitions in Women: Clinical Considerations
Author(s):
Irene P. Stiver
Abstract:
Work as an important source of identity and self-esteem is not easily integrated into wome's lives. Women's experience with work-related issues differs, quantitatively and qualitatively, from that of men. Recognizing that our cultural definitions of job success typically are not congruent with qualities that women value for themselves, women often need validation in terms of their own standards and beliefs.
