Working
Connections

The
Working
Connections Project,
of
the
Jean
Baker Miller Training Institute, is
an exciting endeavor designed to explore, define, and develop
a revolutionary approach to enhancing business practices and productivity
of organizations preparing for the next millennium. The work in
this project is based on the Relational/Cultural Theory of development,
which proposes that growth-fostering relationships are a central
human necessity and that disconnections are the source of a multitude
of psychological, social, and organizational problems.
About
the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute
The
Jean Baker Miller Training Institute
is dedicated to the theory that people develop in and through
connections to others. The widespread implications of this theory
have been explicated in several books and almost 90 working papers.
It has been researched by workers in many institutions across
the country who are linked through the JBMTI Research Network.
The Institute provides several
kinds of training, including courses, workshops, presentations,
intensive training institutes and a biannual conference co-sponsored
by the Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing Education.
Publications are available by contacting the Publications Office
at
781-283-2500.
