Knapp Projects A wide variety of projects are completed in the Knapp Media & Technology Center each year. Among them are projects created in conjunction with three programs supported by the Knapp Center and the Instructional Technology staff. Knapp Instructional Technology Interns Since 1997, Instructional Technology staff at Wellesley College have directed a program which matches interested faculty with teams of carefully selected and trained student interns. These projects may involve creating an academic department website, a course website, or course materials to be used by students and faculty in or out of class. Knapp Fellows The Knapp Fellows program was piloted in the fall of 1998. The pilot was launched to see what educational gains could be made by sponsoring a faculty member, from Wellesley or from another institution, for a semester of work as an adjunct member of the Knapp Center staff. Since that time we have sponsored three Knapp Fellows. Click for more information on the Knapp Fellows. WCTV Wellesley College students have worked in the Knapp TV Studio since 1999. Students are trained and advised by Jarlath Waldron. Students who want to become involved are able to choose to work on the script and story writing, camera and studio equipment operation or to be on-camera personalities. WGBH Forum Network Thanks to a partnership with Boston public broadcaster WGBH, anyone with an internet connection can listen to and watch a variety of lectures by Wellesley professors and special guests via computer. Click for the Wellesley College offerings on the WGBH forum.
