"Famous Infield Reunited at Wellesley" - by Ken Botnick
(AP June 17th) One of the greatest infields to have ever played the game reassembled at Wellesley College in June to commemorate their amazing and unpredictable final baseball season together. The California Seraphs joined recently to sign autographs and reminisce about that magical season together when the team played the role of improbable spoiler, all the way to the seventh game of the World Series. After the last of their retirements following a final, heartbreaking Series loss to the Yankees, the team management voted to change the name of the club to the Sans Seraphs, honoring their achievements and recognizing their absence on the field and in the clubhouse.
