Find articles and essays

The following databases provide either full-text articles or citations (information about when and where the article was published). Once you have a citation for an article, use the Find It! @ Wellesleylink from each citation to search one or more electronic journal sources through the Wellesley College Library Catalog. Use the name of the journal as the title and make sure you look at the dates covered carefully! If Wellesley does not own the article, you can request it via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

CWI - Contemporary Women's Issues WC - Indexes books, journals, newsletters, research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies, and fact sheets about women's health and human rights from 1992-present

Ethnic NewsWatch WC - Full-text collection of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press from 1991-present.

GenderWatch WC Full-text collection of journals, newspapers, regional publications, books, booklets and pamphlets, and special reports focusing on gender from 1974-present.

PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service)(via CSA) WC - Database of articles, books, conference proceedings, government documents, book chapters, and statistical directories about political, social, and economic issues from 1937-present.

Sociological Abstracts WC - Citations from an international selection of sociological journals, serials, conference papers, books, and dissertations from 1963-present. Abstracts available from 1974 and some articles are available in full-text.

Social Science Full Text WC - Citations for social science articles, interviews, obituaries, biographies, and book reviews from 1983-present.
