Printing from Microsoft Word

1. Save a copy of your document to the desktop. DO NOT work on a document from a disk or on the network.
2.  Open your document in Microsoft Word
3.  Select the plotter printer for printing:

a) From the File menu, choose Print
b) In the Print window, select EPSON Stylus Pro 9600 – Large Format Plotter Printer from the drop down menu and click Close.

4. Set the size of your image:

a) From the File menu, choose Page Setup.

In the Page Setup window:

  • Select the Paper tab
  • Enter the page dimensions in the width and height fields.

**The maximum page size Microsoft Word allows is 22" x 22"**

  • Click OK.

5. Check the appearance of your document in Word to make sure you are comfortable with it. If so, save a second copy of your document to the desktop with a new name to avoid copying over the original file.

6. Set the paper size for the printer and print your document.

a) From the File menu, choose Print.
b) Click the Properties… button next to the printer name.

In the Main tab:

  • Media Type: Select Premium Glossy Photo Paper (250) or Premium Luster Photo Paper (260) depending on what is displayed as the currently inserted paper on the top of the plotter.
  • Ink: Color/B&W Photo
  • Mode: 
    • Automatic 
    • Set arrow tab at the Quality end
    • Select EPSON Standard (sRGB) in dropdown.
    • Check Print Preview

In the Paper tab:

  • Paper Source: Roll Paper
  • Check Borderless
  • AutoCut: Select Normal Cut
  • Paper Size: select a paper size closest to the smallest height of your document, but with enough room for margins.  For example if your document is 22”x 22”, choose the 36 x 24 in option.
  • Copies: 1
  • Orientation: Landscape

Click OK

Click Print.

A new window should popup EPSON Print Preview

View the document in the preview window to make sure it looks correct.

Click Print at the top
