Copies of the Wellesley College Copyright
Policy are available in all academic department offices as well as on
this college web site. The policy addresses educational
uses of diverse media, such as published and unpublished text, pictures,
films,
broadcasts, sound recordings, videos, and computer software. It also includes
guidelines for the acceptance of materials for course reserve at the College
libraries.
Coursepacks
Staff at the Clapp Copyright Center offer assistance in obtaining the necessary
permissions from copyright owners. The process is often lengthy, and royalty
fees vary widely. For assistance, please call the Clapp Copyright Center
at ext. 2804.
Questions about fair use
Some materials can be copied under the "fair use" provisions of the law.

It includes primary sources, current legislative and judicial materials,

provides the names and addresses of copyright holders for English language
authors whose papers are in libraries and archives in North America and
the United Kingdom.
