Nancy Culmone

Encouraged to paint and draw from early childhood, Nancy discovered as an adult that calligraphy and the book arts require the same visual and kinesthetic skills as drawing and painting. She has taught calligraphy as a language of creative expression since 1976 at colleges, museum art schools, and workshops throughout the United States and Canada. she has an active freelance studio. Her work has been widely exhibited, has appeared in numerous publications, and is in many private and public collections, including Wellesley College and Harvard University. She continues to be fascinated with the creative process in all disciplines and is learning that improvisation is an essential ingredient of living.
