PROGRESSION OF THE DAY
The main goal and priority of the construction of the Science Center was to straighten up the inefficient organization of the Science Departments. Today the Wellesley College Science Center has achieved its goal of creating a more efficient science education system. The construction of the building and the modular design brought together departments, which increased inter-departmental studies. This unification “contribute[s] substantially to Wellesley’s phenomenal success in educating women who later receive doctoral degrees in the sciences”.
