Glorianne Collver-Jacobson

Field of Study: Lute and Guitar

Education: B.A. in music from the University of California, Berkeley. Guitar studies with Renata Tarragò in Barcelona, Spain. International master classes with Julian Bream, Antonio Lauro, Alirio Diaz and Manuel Barrueco. Studied lute with Eugen Dombois and Hopkinson Smith at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland. Masterclass with Anthony Bailes in Cheltenham, England.

Professional Affiliations: Concertized in Europe and the U.S. as soloist and with other artists including countertenor Michael Collver, Brazilian flutist Mauricio Garcia, and guitarist Sharon Wayne. Performed with flamenco groups El Arte Flamenco and Ramon de los Reyes Spanish Dance Theatre. Served as Artistic Director of the Boston Classical Guitar Society, member of the IIE National Screening Committee for Fulbright Awards, and adjudicator for the New England Guitar Competition. Taught guitar at the École Jurassienne et Conservatoire de Musique in Delémont, Switzerland. Faculty member at Wellesley College (teaching Lute and Guitar), and ensemble coach for the Mather Chamber Music Program at Harvard University.
