Biographical
Information: Established herself in the rarely heard category—the
true contralto. Appeared as soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, Boston
Pops Orchestra, National Symphony of Panama, National Symphony of the
Ukraine, Handel and Haydn Society, Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, Pro
Arte Chamber Orchestra, and West Virginia, Hartford, New Hampshire,
Lexington
(KY), Quad Cities, Nashua symphonies and Boston Modern Orchestra Project.
Member of the original cast of world premiere performances of John
Adams'
opera, “Nixon in China,” directed by Peter Sellars, which toured the
United States and received Emmy and Grammy award nominations. Performed
numerous operatic roles in the United States with Houston Grand Opera,
Seattle Opera, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Brooklyn Academy’s
Next Wave Festival, Boston Concert Opera, Blossom Music Festival, Boston
Lyric Opera, Opera New England, Boston Academy of Music, Monadnock
Festival,
and in Europe at Netherlands Opera, and Edinburgh Festival. Soloist
for oratorio groups: National Cathedral Choral Society, Bach Aria
Group,
Musica Sacra, Larry Parsons Chorale, Worcester Music Association, Back
Bay Chorale, Rhode Island Civic Chorale, Wellesley Choir, Augustana
Choir, Harvard University Choruses. Member of the Jubilee Trio, which
performs American art songs and spirituals.
