Biographical Information: Charles Fisk has performed throughout
the United States and Europe; including at the White House for President Carter.
His numerous published works include Returning Cycles: Contexts for the Interpretation of Schubert’s
Impromptus and Last Sonatas (University of California Press) and articles
in Music and Meaning, (Cornell University Press), College Music Symposium,
and Musical Quarterly. His most recent articles are "19th Century Music?--the Case of Rachmaninoff" in 19th-Century Music and "Imagining and Performing the Polonaise-Fantasy" in Proceedings of the 7th International Chopin Conference in Warsaw. He has also delivered many papers at the annual meetings of the American
Musicological Society and the Society for Music Theory, and at
colleges throughout the United States.
