Biograhical Information:
Conductor: Engaged by the Handel and Haydn Society Orchestra, the Savannah Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Springfield (MA) Symphony, Tallahassee Symphony (with jazz pianist Marcus Roberts), London’s Westminster Philharmonic (on concert tour to Nova Scotia), Vermont Millennium Festival, Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and Opera Theatre. Premiered numerous contemporary works and conducted theater productions for the Gloucester Stage, Boston Conservatory, Brandeis University, College Light Opera Company, and the Hasty Pudding Theatrical.
Composer: Currently a participant in the BMI Lehma
n Engel Musical Theater Writing Program. Compositions include music for theater: musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ ”The Chimes” (featured at the 2004 Birth of a Musical Festival), incidental music for Canadian premier of Lanford Wilson’s “Book of Days”; ballet: “Rappaccini’s Daughter” commissioned by Commonwealth Ballet and “Street Scene” (the latter performed in Boston and Bulgaria and heard in broadcast on the A&E, Nickelodeon, Discovery, and Learning channels); and film: choral arrangement for Columbia Pictures release of “Mona Lisa Smile,” starring Julia Roberts.

Professional Affiliations: Faculty member at Wellesley College, Artist-in-residence at Brandeis University, Conductor of the Brandeis-Wellesley Orchestra. Former conducting posts include Music Director of the Genesee (NY) Symphony and Lowell (MA) Philharmonic, Conductor of the Boston College Symphony Orchestra and Assistant Conductor of the Young Artists Orchestra at Tanglewood.
