Biographical
Information: Tenor Aaron Sheehan performs music ranging from
the medieval to the Baroque. He has recorded and toured
in the US and Europe with Paul Hillier’s “Theater of Voices,”
and performed as soloist with the Handel and Haydn Society,
Aston Magna Festival, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Boston Cecilia,
Lyra Concert Baroque Orchestra, and Indianapolis Baroque. He also
performs with Blue Heron Renaissance Choir, Fortunes Wheel, and
La Donna Musicale; recent engagements include the role of Ivan in
the Boston Early Music Festival’s production of Mattheson’s
“Boris Gudenow,” the title role in “The Play of Daniel” at
Western Michigan University’s
Medieval
Institute, and Orfeo in Monteverdi’s “Orfeo” with
Harvard University’s Society for Early Music. Upcoming engagements
include a US tour of Monteverdi’s Vespers with Tragicomedia and
singing excerpts of Monteverdi’s “Orfeo” at the Metropolitan
Museum in New York.
