  1. The first thing to do is to turn on the power for the printer. If it beeps at you, look on the display to see what the problem is. There are pages marked in the manual for instructions on water change, paper change, refuse empty and jams. If you need help, see Sue Kohler (x3367).
  2. Next turn on the Fuji computer (on the lab table next to the confocal microscope). If you see a message about detecting an Unknown Device, just click the Cancel button. The computer must be turned on AFTER the printer is already on.
  3. If you want access to the Leica computer to get confocal images stored on it, you must turn it on and log in as tcs_user. If you want to open the software to load images there, you must also turn on the microscope (switch 2) and scan electronics (switch 5).
  4. You should now be able to print to the Fuji printer from the Compix computer and the confocal computer and the computer with the Spot digital camera. Simply choose Setup from the Print window and then choose \\FUJISERVER\FUJI or Fuji Pictography 3000 as the printer.
  5. If you want to get files from the Leica computer, you can open Network Neighborhood, then Leica_tcs_nt. If you get the nasty message, log in as tcs_user.
