ENDO 2009

Christina presented her poster at the 2009 Endocrine Society Meeting in Washington DC. In addition, Christina was selected to attend a full-day Trainee Day symposium on careers in Endocrinology.

Sabbatical in Milan 2009

While on Sabbatical in 2008-09, Marc spent 5 months in Italy. He participated in the 5th International Meeting on Steroids and the Nervous System in Torino, Italy in February 2009. From March -July, Marc worked with Roberto Melcangi and his lab (below) at the University of Milano studying the ability of progestins and other neuroactive steriods to provide protective effects against peripheral neurodegeneration. Marc and his family had a wonderful time enjoying the hospitality of the Italians and the beauty of northern Italy.

US/Japan Neurosteroid Symposium 2008

Marc presented at the US/Japan Neurosteroid Symposium in Gifu, Japan. This meeting was funded by the NIH and NSF to promote interaction between US and Japanese scientists.

ENDO 2008

Dana presented her poster at the 2008 Endocrine Society Meeting in San Francisco and attended the Trainee Day symposium on careers in Endocrinology.

At the Endo meeting, Marc participated on a panel at the Endo Trainee Day to discuss balancing work and family.

SFN 2007

In November, we attended the annual Society for Neuroscience meeting in San Diego.

  Mackenise and Dana presented their poster at the SFN meeting. Mackensie won a travel award from the Faculty for Undergraduate Neuroscience to attend the SFN meeting.

SFN 2006

In October, we attended the annual Society for Neuroscience meeting in Atlanta.

    While at the meeting we presented a poster of our recent findings.

CNS 2006

In October, we attended the annual meeting of the Center for Neuroendocrine Studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Lab Lunch

In August, the lab (including Mbaira who joined us for the summer) went out to lunch to celebrate a summer's worth of hard work.

We had lunch at our favorite Thai restaurant followed by our favorite ice cream for desert.
