Hi, my name is Jen Wan, and I’m currently a sophomore at Wellesley College. I plan to major in either Biology or Biochemistry. Over the summer, I worked at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, affiliated with Tufts University. I had the opportunity to work on a study on the effects of hormone replacement therapy on the cholesterol levels of post-menopausal women. By joining the Tetel lab this Fall, I want to continue learning about hormones. I am interested in the role of nuclear receptor coactivators and their role in steroid receptor activity. For now, I plan to attend medical school and combine the more individualized nature of patient care with the broader range of scientific research.
