University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Il.
Major: Biology

Professional Background:
Hi, I have just started working in the Tetel lab continuing to investigate the influence on reproductive behavior of steroid hormones and their interactions with receptors in the rat brain. Since 2004, I have also worked in the Wolfson Lab studying an endopeptidase, thimet oligopeptidase (TOP), known to catalyze substrates of <17 amino acids. I am hopeful that as I continue to study in both labs that a link will be discovered between thimet oligopeptidase and the influence of steroid hormones and their receptors on reproductive behavior.

My background prior to coming to Wellesley has been in both academic research and industry labs developing immunoassays for the quantification of proteins for therapeutic use. I have worked at Genzyme, Sigma, and Pierce Chemical Company (now Fischer Scientific) and I have a strong background in Immunology.

Other Interests:
I enjoy swimming, quilting, reading, gardening, and playing the piano.  I have two teenage boys who continue to amaze and challenge me and I enjoy spending time with my family. I am also involved in many community service projects in Natick, where I live.
