about the major

Neuroscience is the study of the structure and function of neurons and how they are assembled to produce behaviors. This topic uses a multidisciplinary approach that extends from the molecular, through the cellular, and to the behavioral level. In 1999, Wellesley College established this major that involves courses in the Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and Psychology Departments.
