Director

Each year, a senior member of the Wellesley College French Department serves as resident director. The director works closely with students, helps them select their courses at the university and monitors core program courses. He or she also organizes the various cultural and social activities sponsored by the program. (In recent years the latter category has included potlucks at the director's apartment, dinners at local restaurants, a student-organized book club, hikes up the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, and day-long excursions to many of the astonishing sites of Provence.) The director has weekly office hours and is available to counsel or advise students if necessary. Group meetings are held regularly.
