Withdrawal Policy

A student withdrawing from the program must give written notice to the director. Living quarters must be vacated within one week and left in clean condition.

Students will receive no credit for their course work if they withdraw from the program before the end of the academic term.

Precise dates affecting refunds will be provided in an offer to participate sent to applicants upon acceptance into the program.

Withdrawal from all programs
• The $500 acceptance fee is non-refundable
• Once the student’s transatlantic plane ticket is purchased, its cost is non-refundable
• In the event of withdrawal before the last day of classes of the Wellesley College semester that precedes the initial semester in France, the program retains a $500 housing cancellation fee

Additional deadlines: full-year program
• In the event of withdrawal between the last day of classes of the spring semester at Wellesley College and the group's departure for Paris, 25% of the full-year comprehensive fee will be retained
• Between the group's departure for Paris and and completion of the fall semester in Aix, 50% of the fee will be retained, plus a cancellation fee of $3,000
• If a student completes the fall semester after having notified the program before the second Monday in October of his or her intention to withdraw from the spring semester, there is no penalty

• In the event of withdrawal between the last day of classes of the spring semester at Wellesley College and the group's departure for Paris, 25% of the fall comprehensive fee will be retained
• Between the group's departure for Paris and the last day of the Paris pre-session, 50% of the fee will be retained, plus a cancellation fee of $3,000
• After the last day of the Paris session there is no refund

Additional deadlines: spring semester program
• In the event of withdrawal between the last day of classes of the fall semester at Wellesley College and the January 2009 departure for Paris, 25% of the spring comprehensive fee will be retained
• Between the January departure for Paris and the last day of the Paris pre-session, 50% of the fee will be retained, plus a cancellation fee of $3,000
• After the last day of the Paris session there is no refund
