International SOS

The Wellesley College Assistance Abroad Program

Managed and administered by International SOS, the Wellesley College Assistance Abroad Program provides all Wellesley College students, faculty and staff who travel for College-related activities with medical, travel and security assistance. International SOS is the world's largest medical and security assistance company, with more than 3,500 professionals in 24-hour Alarm Centers, international clinics and remote-site medical facilities across five continents.

In order to ensure prompt and effective assistance under the program, it is essential that travelers enter relevant personal health, vaccination and travel information into the online Emergency Record. This information remains available and accessible to the traveler and, with the traveler’s consent, is available to SOS medical staff so that they may better assist in the event of an emergency. This program is HIPAA compliant; so all information is protected and confidential.

Additionally, a secure online Personal Travel Record allows travelers to make itineraries and emergency contact information available to International SOS Administrators at Wellesley and International SOS staff so that they may be located if needed.

The International SOS card provides Wellesley's membership number and information about how to access services. Travelers should request a card from the appropriate Wellesley administrator:
