The director's drop-in hours for advising are posted each week on the Study Abroad Conference on First Class (Wellesley Conferences -> Departments -> Administrative Departments -> Study Abroad).
In an emergency please follow the below steps:
In case of emergency, students participating on academic study abroad programs administered or approved by Wellesley should first follow the emergency instructions provided by their study abroad program provider and/or host institution.* Should they need additional assistance, they should:
(1) Contact the nearest International SOS call center:

They will be asked to provide the Wellesley membership number, which appears
on the student's SOS card: #11BSGC000061

If the emergency involves hospital services or law enforcement, the student's emergency contact will be notified by the Director of International Studies or her representative. The Director will authorize appropriate services through International SOS.Should the Director not be available at any of the above numbers, the student should call Campus Police. Chief Barbin and Lt. DiBlasi are authorized to approve an International SOS response and will refer calls to relevant Wellesley College staff, if necessary. Campus Police: 781-283-2121
(3) The student, or the student's emergency contact, is responsible for informing her primary insurance carrier.
*In the event that emergencies are managed on-site by the study abroad provider or host institution, students are asked to notify the Director of International Studies as soon as feasible to facilitate any follow-up that may be necessary.
