sams

What? If you’re planning to study abroad during the 2008-09 academic year then you will be assigned a Study Abroad Mentor (SAM) to assist you with the application and preparation process.

Who?  SAMs are seniors and returned study abroad students representing various majors and study abroad destinations.  They’re eager to share their tips and experiences with you to prepare you to study abroad.

How?  Your SAM will send you an initial email to introduce herself and will continue to be in touch with you every couple of weeks to check in on your progress and remind you of important deadlines and events.  They will be available all year to answer your questions and when they can’t to refer them to someone who can.  In addition each SAM will hold weekly drop in hours in the OIS and will organize one study abroad event per semester in their assigned dorms.

Who is your SAM? You are assigned a SAM based on the first letter of your last name (Click their name for more info.....)
