Ariel Levine- Cape Town, South Africa, Spring 2007
Last spring I studied abroad at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, taking classes on literature, gender and social work. In my spare time I hiked Table Mountain and Lion's Head, went dancing at a small 70s motif bar on Long Street called the Waiting Room and worked at a respite center for young adults with HIV and TB. During my spring break I traveled to Joburg, drove through Botswana and ended up at Victoria Falls. I also was lucky enough to travel to Lesotho. Being in Cape Town was really a phenomenal experience. I'm not usually one to use cliches or over gratify an experience, but something about being abroad there really impacted me. I'd endeavor to say the intensity and joy i experienced while abroad was really unlike anything i have ever been lucky enough to enjoy.

Rebecca Salomon- London Queen Mary- Fall 2006
