The Writing Tutors offer help in writing across the disciplines. Last year, writing tutors saw nearly 650 students from all four years. They help students develop strategies at all stages of the writing process, as well as hone critical thinking skills. Drop-in sessions in the PLTC last 40 minutes to an hour and focus primarily on thesis development, organization, evidence use and revision strategies. Faculty can also send students to work throughout the semester with a tutor specializing in ESL issues. All tutors are nationally certified. Contact Alexandra Johnson to pair a faculty-assigned student with a tutor for weekly sessions.
