Wellesley College Department of Philosophy: Curriculum

The Philosophy Department offers a wide and ever-changing range of courses in order to provide a solid foundation in all core areas of the subject. All courses are classified into three sub-fields to reflect the basic branches of the discipline (please click on the following subfields to find out more about them):

a) The History of Philosophy
b) Value Theory
c) Metaphysics and Theories of Knowledge

Philosophy majors must demonstrate the breadth of their philosophical knowledge by taking courses from all three sub-fields (please visit the For Majors section for more detail).
