Goals
- To become more sophisticated consumers of psychological research (and research in general).
- To learn the conventions of personality research and psychological
writing according to APA format.
- To become familiar with key methodological and theoretical research concepts in psychology.
- To develop an area of substantive knowledge within personality psychology.
- To develop the ability to speak about research to an audience.
- To develop experience and expertise in problem definition, critical thinking, tolerance of ambiguity, and teamwork.
- To develop SPSS & other research skills sufficient for entry level research jobs and honors work.
- To develop an understanding of where psychological knowledge comes from, and to have an opportunity to integrate theoretical and empirical understanding in an individual project.
