Class of 2007 Commencement On Friday, June 1, 2007, former Secretary of State and Wellesley alumna Madeleine K. Albright addressed the 560 graduating seniors, their families and friends at Wellesley College’s 129th Commencement Exercises. A 1959 graduate of Wellesley, Albright was the first female U.S. Secretary of State, a position she held from 1997 until 2001. Wellesley College also awarded its annual Anna and Samuel Pinanski Teaching Prize, recognizing teaching excellence, to Rachid Aadnani, Middle Eastern studies; John Cameron, biological sciences; and Nancy Genero, psychology. |
