The planned activities for
the week of 4/15/02 are as follows:
- Continue storm drain installation along the south side of the Distribution
Center building.
- Continue importing borrow.
- Continue granite work around Paintshop Pond dam (pending delivery
of the remainder of the granite stone).
- Pour concrete "footing"/base for granite cheek stones.
- Installation of supplemental warning layer (snow fence) over portion
of the engineered barrier.
- Touch-up grading of the Waban Brook channel and adjacent peat in
the southern wetland.
- Continue subgrade and finish grading across site.
- Excavation of borrow soil from the softball field area.
- Placement of topsoil layer for surface restoration.
- Installation of monitoring well network is ongoing
- Decommission monitoring wells at MW-24 due to storm drain installation
in close proximity
Activities conducted during
the week of 4/8/02 include:
- Continued installing peat in the wetland area along the edge of Paintshop
Pond.
- Continued storm drain installation along the south side of the Distribution
Center building.
- Continued granite work around Paintshop Pond dam.
- Placed channel stone subgrade.
- Installed supplemental warning layer (snow fence) over portion of
the engineered barrier.
- Touch-up grading of the Waban Brook channel and adjacent peat in
the southern wetland (not completed)
- Continued subgrade and finish grading across site.
- Excavation of borrow soil from the softball field area.
- Continued deliveries of off-site borrow soil.
- Placed topsoil in select areas.
