The planned activities for the week of 8/6/2001 are as follows:

  1. Excavate contaminated and clean peat out of the Northern Wetlands.
  2. Excavate contaminated uplands.
  3. Construction of an intermediate dewatering area for excessively wet contaminated northern wetland material within the uplands.
  4. Stockpile clean peat removed from the Northern Wetland in the gravel pit.
  5. Continue excavation, placement and compaction of clean borrow materials around site.
  6. Relocate the pigment-contaminated soils from atop the former tennis courts to the treatment area adjacent to Paintshop Pond.
  7. Continue upgrading main dewatering sump water discharge control measures in Lake Waban.
  8. Continue chipping contaminated stumps.

Activities conducted during the week of 7/30/2001 include:

  1. Continued excavating contaminated peat from Northern Wetland and stockpiling in consolidation area.
  2. Continuee backfilling Northern Wetland with clean borrow to create clean pad.
  3. Began excavating clean peat from Northern Wetland and stockpiling in gravel pit area.
  4. Excavated contaminated uplands immediately west of Northern Wetland.
  5. Completed construction of main dewatering sump.
  6. Installed multi-media filter at main dewatering sump.
  7. Continuee removing stumps in contaminated area.
