  3. Proposed southern wetland subgrade preparation and peat installation.
  4. May shut down main dewatering sump and remove equipment. Continue dewatering from temporary dewatering sump.
  5. Placement of fill for the water quality swale located on the south side of the consolidation area berm.
  6. Continue managing soil in the consolidation area.
  7. May manufacture additional sand borrow.
  8. Placement and compaction of semi-pervious fill adjacent to Paintshop Pond dam
  9. Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and peat and filling.
  10. Installation of woven geotextile fabric layer (recent addition to engineered barrier configuration) and six-inch sand borrow layer on eastern field to prepare for HDPE liner installation (east field only). Anticipate beginning HDPE placement on the eastern portion of the consolidation area on 12/17/01.
  11. Continue re-dredging cells that were recontaminated by the trailing curtain.
  12. Collect additional post-dredge verification samples in areas previously dredged.
  13. Load out treated and tested soil.
  14. Treat soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate as an amendment to the calcium polysulfide reagent).
  15. Continue health and safety air monitoring.

Activities conducted during the week of 12/3/01 include:
  1. Ongoing Paintshop Pond dam and wall restoration.
  2. Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
  3. Southern wetland subgrade preparation and peat installation.
  4. Began shutting down main dewatering sump (i.e., removed some of equipment). Continue dewatering from temporary dewatering sump.
  5. Excavate and relocate to consolidation area pigment-contaminated soil in the vicinity of G3 discovered while excavating borrow.
  6. Continued management of soil in the consolidation area.
  7. Restoration of field hockey field remediation area.
  8. Begin placement and compaction of semi-pervious fill to south of Waban Brook.
  9. Continue hauling partially-dewatered northern shoreline dredge material to the consolidation area
  10. Took delivery of 26 rolls of 60-mil HDPE geomembrane.
  11. Reposition/create new site access ramp, including relocation of a construction and two equipment trailers.
  12. Treat soil and pigment (using ferrous sulfate as an amendment to the calcium polysulfide reagent).
  13. Load out treated and tested soil.
  14. Continued re-dredging area NS-2.
  15. Dredged spoils were loaded into barges for primary de-watering. Maxymillian Technology is using a barge equipped with a sump to de-water dredged spoils prior to transport to the shoreline. Barges are then transported to shore where material is excavated from barge loaded into trucks and placed in the uplands.
  16. Continue health and safety air monitoring.
