The planned activities for the week of 2/11/2002 are as follows:

 

  1. Stone mason to complete setting stone, except for granite which is expected to arrive in a few weeks.
  2. Excavation, placement, and compaction of fill (miscellaneous fill).
  3. Continue managing soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field area).
  4. Continue restoration work, shaping slopes around the site.
  5. Continue preparing subgrades across site.
  6. Take delivery of drainage appurtenances.
  7. Begin demobilizing some equipment.
  8. Continue boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
  9. Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
  10. Miscellaneous haul road cleanup near the barge launch area.
  11. Storm drain installation.
  12. Continue to treat soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide reagent).
  13. Continue health and safety air monitoring.

    Activities conducted during the week of 2/4/02 include:
  1. Stone mason continued setting stone.
  2. Excavation, relocation, placement and compaction of fill (miscellaneous fill).
  3. Shaping slopes along the edge of the softball field.
  4. Continued restoration work in the area north of the IT treatment area and the water quality swale area.
  5. Continue managing soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field area).
  6. Continued screening operation.
  7. Continued preparing subgrades across site.
  8. Installed water quality swale drainage appurtenances.
  9. Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
  10. Placement of topsoil in select areas.
  11. Took delivery of drainage appurtenances.
  12. Continued boardwalk carpentry.
  13. Began laying out the storm drain system.
  14. Encountered a few small random sections of potential transite pipe while excavating in miscellaneous fill soils. Pipe was covered with poly sheeting and notification was made.
  15. Treated soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide reagent).
  16. Excavated treated and tested soil.
  17. Continue health and safety air monitoring.
