The planned activities for
the week of 2/11/2002 are as follows:
- Stone mason to complete setting stone, except for granite which is
expected to arrive in a few weeks.
- Excavation, placement, and compaction of fill (miscellaneous fill).
- Continue managing soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field
area).
- Continue restoration work, shaping slopes around the site.
- Continue preparing subgrades across site.
- Take delivery of drainage appurtenances.
- Begin demobilizing some equipment.
- Continue boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
- Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
- Miscellaneous haul road cleanup near the barge launch area.
- Storm drain installation.
- Continue to treat soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium
polysulfide reagent).
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
Activities conducted during
the week of 2/4/02 include:
- Stone mason continued setting stone.
- Excavation, relocation, placement and compaction of fill (miscellaneous
fill).
- Shaping slopes along the edge of the softball field.
- Continued restoration work in the area north of the IT treatment area
and the water quality swale area.
- Continue managing soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field
area).
- Continued screening operation.
- Continued preparing subgrades across site.
- Installed water quality swale drainage appurtenances.
- Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
- Placement of topsoil in select areas.
- Took delivery of drainage appurtenances.
- Continued boardwalk carpentry.
- Began laying out the storm drain system.
- Encountered a few small random sections of potential transite pipe
while excavating in miscellaneous fill soils. Pipe was covered with
poly sheeting and notification was made.
- Treated soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide
reagent).
- Excavated treated and tested soil.
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
