The planned activities for
the week of 2/25/2002 are as follows:
- Continue boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
- Begin surcharge loading in west field of consolidation area.
- Continue managing soil and grading in the remaining consolidation
area (west field area).
- Continue restoration work, shaping slopes around the site.
- Continue preparing subgrades across site.
- Repair crack in top of poured concrete cap on PSP dam.
- Placement and compaction of imported fill.
- Stone mason completed setting stone; may set cut granite blocks in
channel if they arrive.
- Set and pour detention basin outlet structure for the detention basin.
- Storm drain installation.
- Continue to treat soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium
polysulfide reagent).
- Begin consolidating treatment work area.
- Begin consolidating the work area and doing final cleanup of haul
roads and work areas.
- Begin decontaminating and demobilizing equipment.
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
Activities conducted during
the week of 2/18/02 include:
- Continued placement and compaction of imported fill.
- Continue managing soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field
area).
- Continued restoration work, shaping slopes along the edge site.
- Continue preparing subgrades across site.
- Completed manufacture of topsoil.
- Continued boardwalk and bridge carpentry.
- Took hydraulic oil contaminated soil off site for disposal.
- Took transite pipe off site for disposal.
- Began cutting in paths outside the fenced worked area.
- Performed miscellaneous excavation of contaminated soil and relocation
to the consolidation area.
- Demobilized some equipment, including excavator in treatment area.
- Treated soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide
reagent).
- Excavated treated and tested soil.
- Consolidated treatment work area.
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
