The planned activities for the week of 2/4/2002 are as follows:

 

  1. Stone mason continues setting stone.
  2. Placement and compaction of fill (miscellaneous fill).
  3. Excavation of hydraulic fill in uplands east of IT treatment area and onsite reuse as semi-pervious fill or miscellaneous fill adjacent to the PSP dam area or other area on site needing fill.
  4. Shaping slopes along the edge of the softball field.
  5. Continue restoration work in the area north of the IT treatment area and the water quality swale area.
  6. Continue managing soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field area).
  7. Continue screening operation.
  8. Continue preparing subgrades across site.
  9. Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
  10. Sheetpile removal from Lake Waban is completed.
  11. Placement of topsoil in select areas.
  12. Continue boardwalk carpentry.
  13. Take delivery of drainage appurtenances.
  14. Continue to treat soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide reagent).
  15. Continue health and safety air monitoring.

    Activities conducted during the week of 1/28/02 include:
  1. Stone mason continued setting stone.
  2. Placement and compaction of semi-pervious fill (hydraulic fill).
  3. Excavation of hydraulic fill in uplands east of IT treatment area and onsite reuse as semi-pervious fill or miscellaneous fill adjacent to the PSP dam area or other area on site needing fill.
  4. Removed air compressor buried in fill.
  5. Continue removing sheetpiling in Lake Waban
  6. Continued management of soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field area).
  7. Continued screening operation.
  8. Continued preparing subgrades across site.
  9. Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
  10. Miscellaneous excavation of contaminated soil; completed excavation in the G3 area.
  11. Placement of topsoil in select areas.
  12. Continued boardwalk carpentry.
  13. Cleared small vegetated area near construction trailers to facilitate earthwork.
  14. Treated soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide reagent).
  15. Excavated treated and tested soil.
  16. Continue health and safety air monitoring.
