The planned activities for
the week of 2/4/2002 are as follows:
- Stone mason continues setting stone.
- Placement and compaction of fill (miscellaneous fill).
- Excavation of hydraulic fill in uplands east of IT treatment area
and onsite reuse as semi-pervious fill or miscellaneous fill adjacent
to the PSP dam area or other area on site needing fill.
- Shaping slopes along the edge of the softball field.
- Continue restoration work in the area north of the IT treatment area
and the water quality swale area.
- Continue managing soil in the remaining consolidation area (west field
area).
- Continue screening operation.
- Continue preparing subgrades across site.
- Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
- Sheetpile removal from Lake Waban is completed.
- Placement of topsoil in select areas.
- Continue boardwalk carpentry.
- Take delivery of drainage appurtenances.
- Continue to treat soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium
polysulfide reagent).
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
Activities conducted during
the week of 1/28/02 include:
- Stone mason continued setting stone.
- Placement and compaction of semi-pervious fill (hydraulic fill).
- Excavation of hydraulic fill in uplands east of IT treatment area
and onsite reuse as semi-pervious fill or miscellaneous fill adjacent
to the PSP dam area or other area on site needing fill.
- Removed air compressor buried in fill.
- Continue removing sheetpiling in Lake Waban
- Continued management of soil in the remaining consolidation area (west
field area).
- Continued screening operation.
- Continued preparing subgrades across site.
- Miscellaneous excavation of borrow soil and filling.
- Miscellaneous excavation of contaminated soil; completed excavation
in the G3 area.
- Placement of topsoil in select areas.
- Continued boardwalk carpentry.
- Cleared small vegetated area near construction trailers to facilitate
earthwork.
- Treated soil/pigment (using ferrous sulfate and/or calcium polysulfide
reagent).
- Excavated treated and tested soil.
- Continue health and safety air monitoring.
