The planned activities for the week 7/1/2001 are as follows:

  1. Put fininshing touches including drainage stone on the slope in the northeast corner of the consolidation area under construction. The northeast corner should be completed by the end of the week.
  2. Continue dust control.
  3. Install sumps and plumbing for the water diversion system at the Paintshop Pond cofferdam.
  4. Load and transport wood chips off site.
  5. Begin to lower Paintshop Pond.
  6. Continue clearing in contaminated zones.
  7. Continue driving sheetpile cofferdam in Lake Waban.
  8. Setting two 24-in. HDPE pipes into velocity dissipator.
  9. Electrical connection for Paintshop Pond pump station by Town.

Work activities completed during the week of 6/25/2001 include:

  1. Installed electrical conduit for Paintshop Pond diversion pumps along Rt. 135.
  2. Clearing in the vicinity of the former paint factory south of Upper Waban Brook.
  3. Continued constructing northeast corner of consolidation area. Majority of cut excavation completed in the northeast corner portion.
  4. Continuing Lake Waban cofferdam installation (nearly 3/4 complete with sheetpile installation).
  5. Continued removing wood chips from site.
  6. Completed 24-in. HDPE pipe welding and aligned along the western shoreline of Paintshop Pond.
  7. Installed 5-ft diameter culvert in Upper Waban Brook to create an additional access road to areas south of Waban Brook.
